DROWNING IN CANADIAN BEACHES OF PUNTA SAM





CANCUN, MX.- The first death of a tourist in this 2015, was recorded yesterday morning near Punta Sam, where the victim was a native Canadian woman who drowned while swimming with her husband and other tourists .

The incident took place around 11:30 am on Friday, when the emergency number 066 issued the report of a female person drowned by the Punta Sam.


Bailiffs moved to kilometer 2.5 of the road Puerto Juarez-Punta Sam, in the Punta Norte dock and on arrival, had before it the body of a woman of stocky build, fair complexion, 1.70 approximately stature; which was recognized by Glenn Reico 48-year-old native of Canada.

The tourist identified the now deceased and his wife Colleen Kachur-Reico 43-year-old from Canada who was under medical treatment for a lung condition.

Bailiffs originally from Yucatan, licensed boat captain 31616-06-CH, "Tahiti 1", who said that around 10:00 hours out of tour also met with Augustine Cituk, 60 years old, for "snorkel" with 65 tourists, with five crew, to the reef "El Meco".

He added that arrived around 10:40 am and once in the reef, tourists jumped into the water and when they had spent like 10 minutes, the Canadian tourist told the snorkeling tour guide, who wanted to return to the ship.

After that helped to board the boat, the woman approached her husband and minutes later, started with trouble breathing, so that the crew tried to help her.
The boat was approached the pier where they arrived Punta Norte Red Cross paramedics who attended the tourist and confirmed that he had already died.


Canadian body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for autopsy law, thus becoming the first tourist died in Cancun during the first days of the year.
