SPECIAL PROGRAM ON VIOLENCE
IN CANCUN AND THE RIVIERA MAYA

CANCUN, MX.- The W5 program, broadcast on the CTV television
network in Canada, will broadcast on Saturday, March 30, a report on the
violence that prevails in Cancun and Riviera Maya, whose dispute between drug
cartels puts at risk the citizens of that country.
The special will be broadcast at 19:00 in Toronto, 18 hours
in Cancun.
The investigative journalist, Avery Haines, conducted
several interviews, including one of the leaders of Mexican cartels competing
for territory in the Riviera Maya, with Canadian tourists sometimes caught in
the crossfire.
The W5 team was in Quintana Roo from February 11 to 18, just
in a week with several bloody events, including the execution at the bar 'La
Kuka' in Cancún, located on Avenida José López Portillo, where Five people died
and five more were injured.
Avery Haines talked with different people, including public
officials, journalists and even members of organized crime.
