PARADISE KIDNAPPERS

QUINTANA ROO stood in fourth place nationally in the crime of kidnapping, and was announced by the President of the Commission of Justice of the Employers Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX), Hernán Cordero Galindo.

Based on the statistics of the National System of Public Security, the company grew significantly from 2011 to date in terms of kidnappings, mainly due to the operation of more than two cells of organized crime in the upstate.

In statistics, it is shown that despite being a felony, kidnapping in the state not reported consistently, this mainly to the suspicion that exists on the relationship between crime and the police forces."We are already in the top four states in terms of kidnappings, this is serious because it is a silent crime that has been increasing and that very rarely, or almost never, is reported (...), and not reported because there is a suspicion of the relationship between organized crime and the police forces. "

The situation is considerable, as the National System of Public Security is not the only body that testifies as Quintana Roo has entered fully into the insecurity that characterizes Mexico.

According to the Citizens' Institute for Studies on Insecurity BC in "Performance Evaluation of the Public Prosecutor in the fight against kidnapping and study of official figures on extortion," covering the years 2007 and 2010, which included 18 state attorneys, the only one without preliminary investigations kidnapping is Yucatan in 2007, 2009 and 2010, counting only one in 2008.

In the performance against kidnapping were rated "Poor" the states of Aguascalientes, Coahuila, Mexico, Nayarit and Quintana Roo, with "Good" institutions: Campeche, Chiapas and Sonora.

In relation to Quintana Roo, on the entity kidnappings has reached position number four nationally, mainly due to complaints received by business organizations, although there are no official criminal complaints to the Attorney of Justice does exist within business organizations a register of entrepreneurs who have been kidnapped or threatened with kidnapping.

This pattern is nationwide and serves as an early warning system for all Mexican business. This report is the modus operandi and the mechanisms used by organized crime to attack the country's productive sector.

Following this, the increasing trend in terms of insecurity has led (along with other factors such as the burden of federal, state, municipal and lack of training), the closure of more than ten thousand companies in the period 2009-2010 , according to Business Information System (SIEM).
