BUILD THAT WALL !: SPRING BREAKERS ASK FOR CANCÚN MURO MEXICO-USA CONSTRUCTION
The passengers of a ship were astonished when a group of American students began shouting "Build that wall" in a "pirate ship" on the coast of Cancun in Mexico. This is just one example of a growing number of problems that occur with a large number of spring breakers, according to the Yucatan Times.
The newspaper exposed the painful irony of privileged young Americans asking Mexicans not to enter their country, using excuse the wall proposed by US President Donald Trump as they traveled to Mexico during spring break.
Several Mexican tourists aboard the ship expressed their anger over the song, but the Americans "did not stop" and continued with the "racist hymn," the newspaper said Friday.
"This is just one of the many reprehensible behaviors that young spring breakers have recently shown in Cancun, and are described as xenophobic and discriminatory acts against Mexicans in their own country, which is (or should be) totally unacceptable "The newspaper said in an editorial.
The Yucatán Times emphasized the "growing number of complaints from workers in the tourism sector who point out that many spring breakers have been offensive, rude and haughty against Mexicans."
The boat event also related it, in a Facebook publication, the Peruvian Anaximandro Amable Bruga. He was earlier this month, honeymooning in Cancun with his Mexican wife, and aboard the "pirate ship" that recreates a pirate battle on the high seas.
