AUSTRALIAN TOURIST DIES TO BE HIT BY A CAR IN THE HOTEL ZONE




CANCUN, MX.- An Australian tourist died early Thursday after being hit by a automovislita who fled in the Hotel Zone of Cancun, trying to cross the Kukulcan Boulevard, opposite the Hotel Oasis.


According to a preliminary report from the Attorney General's Office (PGJE), the accident occurred around 03:15 hours on Thursday. No detainees nor has identified the vehicle responsible for this event.


According to statements by Nicholas Byrne, Dean West and Matthew Winkley, friends and companions of the now deceased, who lives by the name of Jan Deraldowski, 25 years old, came to Cancun vacation group and, being down bus, facing the Oasis hotel, his friend was hit by a car, apparently red or black.


The body of the tourist was lying on the pavement and, according to a preliminary review by staff of the PGJE, a fractured tibia and fibula in his right foot and severe head injury, so he was taken to the Medical Examiner for practice necropsy of law.


This would be the first case of a foreign tourist died during the current season of the year-end holiday in Cancun.
