PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MX.- An American fugitive from the state of South Carolina, accused of homicide, was arrested in Quintana Roo, Solidaridad municipality, by authorities from the neighboring country, in collaboration with the National Institute of Migration.

Jason R. G., was detained in Playa del Carmen by the U.S. Marshall Service, attached to the United States Embassy in Mexico, in collaboration with Diana Rubí Vitti Camacho and the Federal Migration Agent, José Antonio Ramírez Contreras.

The Fives Oceanfront hotel opened its doors this week and planned several activities, including a party that was organized with more than 200 guests and where the protocol established by the authorities to avoid further COVID-19 infections was not applied.




Reason why the authorities proceeded to apply the relevant sanction, closing the two consumption centers of the hotel, and the Romarley night center, in addition to the closure it is presumed that economic sanctions will also be applied, although the amount of this is unknown.

THE MARCH organized by FRENAAA (National Anti AMLO Front), arrived at Tulum the main avenue of Cancun from Bonampak Avenue, so there were partial damages to vehicular circulation in the area. With banners and phrases on their vehicles, they took several tours of the resort.


The march began at 10 am and among the demands of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is to put a stop to insecurity and the "migratory invasion", as well as against the cancellation of the New Mexico International Airport (NAIM)  



The participants of this movement demonstrate in defense of the Rule of Law, focused mainly on care in the countryside, art, education, culture, health, security, infrastructure, civil engineering and tourism.

CANCÚN, MX. - The modifications to the Police and Good Government Branch of Benito Juárez (Cancún) come into force, in which economic sanctions and arrests of up to 36 hours will be applied to those who do not comply with sanitary measures such as the use of mouth masks in public spaces and keep the healthy distance.

This was announced by the secretary of the City Council, Issac Janix, who assured:
"Fortunately, 9 out of 10 approve these measures because we all have the same objective, which is to recover economically and avoid more infections, and they are focused on that, and for this reason, 9 out of 10 people have accepted it and see it with good eyes."

He recognized that it is difficult to "avoid second peaks" of the disease, but that collaboration between citizens and authorities to contain these outbreaks can help prevent "a return to total confinement that nobody wants"

This was said after the publication in the Official Newspaper of the State of Quintana Roo, where the agreement approved by the Cabildo on July 16 is disclosed, in which it gives municipal powers for arrests and sanctions based on modifications made in section XII of article 537 of that regulation.

Likewise, the municipal authorities may impose a fine of 10 to 40 Units of Measure and Update (UMA), which ranges from 900 to about 3,500 pesos to those who do not comply with the provisions and 36 hours of arrest may be applied at the Center. of Municipal Retention, popularly known as El Torito.

CDMÉXICO. - Without specifying a date, the Secretary of Health of Mexico City, Oliva López, reported that the agreement concluded with a delegation of Cuban doctors who had been paid 135 million pesos for their services.

"This was a support to cover all the activities that the agreement included, which were, as I have already pointed out on other occasions, training, research, sharing protocols, good practices, epidemiological field monitoring and also a set of activities, let's say, of technical advice. So, these 135 million pesos was what was considered for the agreement that includes all these activities, also direct care, and the 585 Cuban doctors participated, ”he explained.

When questioned regarding the criticism generated by the presence of these doctors, the capital official assured that the doctors helped strengthen the actions carried out in the capital's hospitals to fight against SARS-CoV-2.

“It wasn't just these doctors, not just these health personnel, the city has hired more than 2,000 health workers to strengthen their response capacity, and many of those workers come from other states, so these professionals who they incorporated have been very important for care in the city and we are deeply grateful for their commitment… you know that in the country and in the city there are not enough specialist doctors and therefore, the calls are open and we continue to hire health personnel ” he stated.
