BRAZILIAN TOURIST DIES IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MX.- Luis Fernando Da Silva, a Brazilian citizen of 33 years, met a tragic death at the weekend, after falling from hotel 'Red Queen', located in the tourist area of Playa del Carmen, steps the popular Fifth Avenue.

According to a preliminary version of the facts, man, allegedly drunk, have climbed to the roof of the hotel around midnight Saturday and, according to locals, saw him leaping from the roof.

The Brazilian would have lost his balance and fell from a height of about 13 meters into the courtyard of the building where the body was found in a pool of blood, as he suffered head injuries and died instantly.

An unofficial version relates that tourists had agreed to meet at the hotel with some friends for a report on the whereabouts of his brother, but allegedly found no one, so he decided to climb the terrace of the hotel where he was staying.

The body of the tourist was taken to the Forensic Medical Service, as authorities are investigating the case.
